The Trump regime’s attempt to freeze federal spending on grants and loans has been nothing short of terrifying. Announced on a Monday night, the freeze lasted only two days but was met with widespread confusion and criticism from both Republicans and Democrats. The move, intended to address waste and fraud, but was actually about repressing his political enemies, was chaotic and harmful.
